About

Hi! I’m Kirstin.

I am a pediatric speech-language pathologist and am thrilled to begin providing speech and language therapy to private clients. I earned my Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science in English and English Secondary Education at Western Carolina University in 2012. After teaching for roughly 2 years, I decided to pursue my dream and went on to earn my Masters of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Western Carolina University in 2017.

I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology through the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and hold a speech-language pathology license in the states of North Carolina, Florida, Vermont, and Oregon.

I have experience working in early intervention, public schools, and virtual therapy. Some of my areas of interest include: receptive and expressive language disorders, speech sound disorders, fluency disorders, and autism.

It is my hope and dream to encourage parents/caregivers and their children to believe in their strengths and value in the world. My goal is to create a fun, creative, and interactive environment for children. I encourage caregivers and families to participate in therapy. I celebrate neurodiversity and focus on a child’s strengths and interests to promote progress. Wildflower Speech Therapy welcomes people from all walks of life. We look forward to meeting you!
